“Cindy Gallop is a former ad agency executive who runs MakeLoveNotPorn.com, designed to sexually “reeducate, rehabilitate, and reorient”. Her website crowdsources videos of ordinary people having sex as a rebuttal to the kind of porn made by the established industry. “My team and I fight a huge battle every day because the small print [on services] says ‘no adult content’”, explained Gallop. “We can’t get banks, hosting services, coding, encryption or payments services. We can’t use Amazon Web Services – we had to build our own video platform. Daily barriers to building a business in this sector are colossal.””
